Photowalk winner
Announcing the winner of the Close to Home : Batac City photowalk. Lemwel Duldulao's entry of the statue of General Artemio Ricarte.
These are the words from Stuart's e-mail, "As I mentioned in my Flickr comments, I really like the placement of the statue within the blurred background elements and how the colors of the background and the statue complement each other. It looks as if the figure is striding across the photograph. I also like the POV, shooting up from underneath the statue, giving it a bit of a "larger than life" feel. Finally, the fact that the photographer has the figure looking/striding out of the photograph, breaking the "rule" of having the subject look into the frame, gives the photography rebel in me a bit of satisfaction. Again, well done!"
Lemwel will receive a code for a free Close to Home ebook PDF version at Craft & Vision. Also, a signed print from the author Stuart Sipahigil.
All the other entries are at my Flickr set Close to Home : Batac City Entries where Stuart also gave his thoughts.

Hey ^^
ReplyDeletei love your blog, the photos are so great!
Actually I would like to know if you or readers of this blog are interested in writing about the way you have personnally experienced the Northeastern Japan Earthquake (if you haven't but you know people who have experienced the earthquake in Japan, it'd be great if you coud let him/her know about this).
Tokyo Room Finder Short Essay Contest is an online project to gather heart-warming experiences following the earthquake in Japan. We strongly believe that sharing those experiences will give people hope and revitalize Japan.
We also offer 2 tickets for Tokyo Disney Resort to each of the winners.
